Henk de Swardt is the Chief Electrical Engineer for Timken Gears and Services.
He is responsible for technical support of the division’s three electric motor workshops, H&N Electric, which include H&N Wind, Smith Services, and Schulz Electric.
Henk obtained a Bachelor Degree of Science in Electric and Electronic Engineering from the University of Johannesburg, in South Africa, in 1995.
He is a senior member of the IEEE.
He is an electric motor design engineer by trade with more than 30 years of experience at various OEMs and repair companies in the U.S. and internationally.
He has extensive practical experience in motor and generator manufacture and repair.
He is the holder of 17 patents and a published author of 12 IEEE technical papers and 33 other published technical papers on the design, manufacture, repair, and maintenance of electric motors and generators.
